Actually, I started out in the 80’s at Bozell. We did a lot of ads – TV, print, radio, outdoor, brochures…you name it. Then I moved to Griffin Bacall – again lots of good ads but we also developed IPs and backstories. Next was Grey and interactive started to heat up. So, we did ads as well as webisodes, online real-time gaming, websites and such. C2Creative followed and this was 360, integrated communications, and, oh yeah, ads. Lastly NYCEDC, a city agency. Now we’re talking social, blogs, web, rich media, engagement, crowd sourcing, video, storytelling, the whole nine-yards and, at the end of the day, ads. For me advertising is communicating, connecting people to brands in meaningful ways, regardless of what you call it. That’s what I did and that’s what I love to do.
